EUDR
The European Union Deforestation-free Regulation (EUDR) sets strict requirements for companies working with commodities such as timber, coffee, cocoa, rubber, soy, palm oil, or cattle. As an organization, you must be able to demonstrate that your products do not contribute to deforestation or forest degradation, and that all origin information is fully traceable and verified.

At each purchasing or production step, the correct certificate information is automatically recorded. Through a secure API connection, Business Central communicates directly with the EU’s EUDR platform. Data can be retrieved, verified, and processed without manual intervention. When producing a composite product, the system automatically generates a new EUDR number based on the verified certificates of the materials used.
The result: a streamlined process with maximum transparency, directly within Business Central.

Example: A printer orders paper from a supplier. The paper has an EUDR certificate number proving it is legal and deforestation-free. Because a book consists of multiple materials — for instance, paper and cardboard — the printer receives multiple certificates, one for each material. The printer, often a smaller party, does not need to create a new certificate. Instead, they pass the received certificate numbers on to the publisher, who verifies them and then creates a new EUDR number in the EU system.
